Jack Brogdon has been with Sun Valley since July of 2020. He is an accomplished Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with over 20 years of experience. In 1996, he started his journey in the medical field as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. In 2001, he decided to further his career to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Jack’s leadership skills consist of effective communication, excellent customer service, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, coaching, teamwork, motivation, positive employee culture, and collaboration that has allowed companies to thrive with quality patient outcomes and financial viability. Jack currently holds a Doctoral Degree in Education and Leadership in Healthcare and master’s degree in health science with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. He believes the key to success is to focus on customer service, quality patient care, financial responsibility, developing new business, excellent staff development, employee culture, and increase staff retention. His long-term goal is to educate other potential administrators so they will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to be successful. He is married to his wife Kristen with whom he has three children. He is also a proud Grandpa and loves his family dearly.
Acsencion Joel Maldonado (A.J.) has been with Sun Valley since 2020. He has been a nurse since 2007 and started his career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in long term care in 2011. He then decided to further his education and obtain his Registered Nurse degree. His experience consists of direct care nursing, quality assurance, Assistant Director of Nursing, wound care, certified dementia practitioner and Director of Nursing. In 2020 A.J. decided to change careers and purse education nursing in the acute care setting. During this time, he decided to continue his education and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the end of 2022. A.J. is a kinesthetic learner with a guardian shared characteristic style of teaching. His values consist of equality, compassion, dedication, and happiness. He hopes to inspire others and portray a strong nursing value in the lives of the people we care for. Smiles and confidence are key principles in the community we serve.
